Hi guys before I begin let me start off saying there is no comparison to Mickeys not so scary Halloween party if you go in expecting that you may be disappointed however Boo bash was amazing in its own right so let’s get started….
First off let’s talk ticket prices WAY more than MNSSHP that’s because they have to limit the people going even more with that said every night of boo bash sold out… now to get to our night…We first decided to take a boat over early from Polly (Polynesian resort) you are allowed to go in as early as 7pm even though ticket says 9pm. We got there about 6:30 there was a line we had to wait in to go in. There was nice cast members dressed in boo bash attire that walked to each guest making sure you had a scan-able ticket (on magic band, a hard ticket, or in your wallet on you phone) once that was done we were let in about 6:45 we walked in and got a trick-or-treat bag & the boo bash map.. we also got some pictures of the castle and walked around until fireworks once they started we sat and watched those… after the fireworks were done they started roping off and getting rid of the day guests and looking for bracelets for boo bash! 9pm the festivities started!! So we got in line got our free popcorn, drinks, and frozen Mickey bars ALL INCLUDED AND FREE UNLIMITED ALL NIGHT very yummy as usual they did have a few very yummy specialty treats as well, but we stuck to the free stuff all night! I loved seeing all the amazing costumes (I was sally from nightmare before Christmas) the photo stops are a must do I recommend getting the photo pass at least for the day and take as many as you can they are so magical when you get home and get to look through them trust us and just do it!! Moving on to the decorations they were fantastic as usual, but I was a bit sad there was no real castle projections like previous years it was just blue, but it was gorgeous! (They did have a projection over by tomorrow land in the rocks by the water) There was no parade I really loved the boo to you Halloween parade from previous years, but the cavalcades were very cute and short no crowds to fight to watch them. I truly loved the characters dressed up my two favorites where Winnie the Pooh and tiger outside of the crystal palace restaurant you could stand in front and get pictures with them from a covid safe distance. Now for crowds THERE WAS NO CROWDS most rides were walk right on. Walking around was a breeze with plenty of room between people to keep a good covid safe distance if needed. Speaking of rides if you are a ride person BOO BASH is for you! The rides where pretty much walk on or 5 to 10 min wait at max a very pleasant surprise! Now for the shopping I was disappointed by the limited selection this year of holiday merchandise it was about the same as the Halloween merch the on-site hotels had nothing special for boo bash just regular Halloween merchandise they also limited purchases to 2 of the same items per guest! next up trick-or-treating it was different than previous years as it would take us through rides/ride lines and such to keep from having lines, but there was plenty of candy (by the end of the night the cast members get more generous with the candy we have heard) also I saw a lot of people stash up on the free waters and soda to wash all that candy down with! Well that’s about it my overall takeaway experience was very pleasant and I’m very glad we went I love the holidays & have greatly missed MNSSHP glad I had boo bash this year it was worth every penny and more …soon enough Mickey will bring back his no so scary Halloween party, but until then boo bash was awesome!!
